Bonsai Global
Terms of Service
These terms govern access to and use of Comment Guardian, a licensed YouTube comment-moderation service operated by Bonsai Global.
Effective September 2, 2026
1. The service
Comment Guardian helps authorized YouTube channel owners and their designated moderators retrieve, organize, analyze, review, and moderate comments. The service may provide policy management, recommendations, commenter history, historical review tools, analytics, and action logs. Available features depend on the licensed plan, configuration, validation stage, and third-party platform capabilities.
2. Eligibility, licenses, and workspace access
You must be legally able to enter into these terms and authorized to act for the person or organization using the service. Access requires an active license and an approved role in the customer’s workspace. Google authentication, submitting an inquiry, or making a payment does not create a workspace or grant access.
Workspace access is personal to the authorized user. You are responsible for protecting your account, maintaining accurate information, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
3. Connected YouTube accounts and authorization
Customers connect their own YouTube accounts and channels directly through Google OAuth. You represent that you own, control, or are authorized to moderate every connected channel. You authorize Comment Guardian to use the Google permissions you grant for the customer-facing features described in the service, including reading comments and moderation states and carrying out moderation actions selected by an authorized moderator.
You remain responsible for the connected Google and YouTube accounts, channel permissions, content, users, and compliance with Google and YouTube terms and policies. You may disconnect a channel or revoke Google access. Disconnecting Comment Guardian does not alter the underlying YouTube account.
4. Acceptable use
You may use Comment Guardian only for lawful, authorized moderation of channels you control. You must not use the service to gain unauthorized access, surveil people unlawfully, harass or discriminate, manipulate platform systems, evade YouTube restrictions, distribute malware, interfere with service security, extract credentials, resell access without permission, or violate applicable law or third-party terms. You must not attempt to access another customer’s workspace or data.
5. Moderation decisions and human responsibility
Customers define their moderation policies and remain responsible for the policy, the people authorized to act, and every moderation outcome. Actions such as removing comments or blocking authors may be difficult to reverse and can affect third parties. Customers must review recommendations and use appropriate judgment, particularly for unclear or high-impact actions.
Where automatic actions are available, they must be intentionally configured and remain subject to plan, safety, confidence, and operational controls. Bonsai Global may keep automatic actions disabled or paused where needed to protect users, third parties, or the service.
6. AI recommendations
The service may use Google Gemini or another disclosed model to classify comments and recommend actions. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or affected by missing context, sarcasm, quotation, language, cultural nuance, platform metadata, or model changes. Comment Guardian does not guarantee perfect classification, complete detection, or error-free moderation.
A recommendation is not a statement of fact about a commenter and should not be treated as professional, medical, legal, or safety advice. Technical failures, low confidence, or uncertain context are designed to leave a comment unchanged or send it for review, but customers must still supervise their use of the service.
7. Customer data and control
As between the customer and Bonsai Global, the customer retains its rights in data it provides or authorizes Comment Guardian to process. The customer grants Bonsai Global the limited rights needed to host, secure, process, transmit, and display that data to operate and improve the customer-facing service. We do not acquire ownership of a customer’s YouTube channels or content.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their collection, instructions, policies, moderation activity, and use of stored data are lawful and appropriately disclosed. Disconnecting YouTube, suspending a license, and deleting stored workspace data are separate operations. Export and deletion requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable agreement.
8. Fees and future paid plans
A workspace may be provided for internal use, a pilot, an evaluation, a manual license, or a future paid plan. If fees apply, the applicable order, proposal, invoice, or subscription terms will state the price, billing period, limits, taxes, renewal, and cancellation terms. Payment does not activate application access unless the license is also approved.
9. Third-party services
Comment Guardian depends on services operated by others, including Google Cloud, Google OAuth, the YouTube Data API, and Gemini. Their terms, policies, quotas, availability, review requirements, and technical behavior also apply. Bonsai Global does not control those services and is not responsible for third-party changes, outages, account restrictions, API decisions, lost permissions, or actions taken by Google or YouTube.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to operate Comment Guardian reliably, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Maintenance, security incidents, third-party outages, quotas, early-stage features, or safety controls may interrupt or limit access. We may update, replace, suspend, or discontinue features, and will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes affecting active customers.
11. Suspension and termination
Bonsai Global may suspend or revoke access for non-payment where fees apply, license expiry, security risk, unlawful or abusive use, material breach, third-party platform restrictions, or conduct that could harm the service or others. A license suspension stops workspace use and should pause background activity; it does not by itself delete customer data. Either party may terminate under an applicable order or written agreement. On termination, usable OAuth credentials may be revoked or removed and data will be handled under the Privacy Policy, applicable law, and any agreed retention period.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bonsai Global disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Comment Guardian does not guarantee that every harmful comment will be identified or that every allowed comment will be preserved.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bonsai Global will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, reputation, data, or business opportunity arising from the service, moderation decisions, or third-party platforms. Bonsai Global’s aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the fees paid for the affected service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 in the applicable invoicing currency if no fees were paid. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal, security, or commercial changes. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects an active paid service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
14. Governing law and contact
Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws applicable at Bonsai Global’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction there. Mandatory consumer protections and non-waivable rights remain unaffected.
Questions about these terms may be sent to niko@bonsaiglobal.io. Privacy and data requests are addressed in our Privacy Policy.
